Introduction

NutraMara aims to promote the use of marine ingredients and to educate the general public regarding their health benefits and positive health attributes.

This section of the site provides links to useful seaweed recipes kindly provided by international chefs. It also contains a “seaweed of the month” section and provides information concerning upcoming NutraMara events and marine ingredients in foods and cosmaceuticals.

This site will also be updated with a “useful bioactive compounds” section in due course.  It will also detail potential uses of marine processing waste streams from shellfisheries (crab, prawn, whelk) and fish waste processing sources. It will also list other marine bioactive sources and what useful bioactive ingredients NutraMara may generate from these sources.
